We would like to apologise to our affected clients for the server outage issue today (17/04). We are currently interrogating the logs to determine the root cause of the issue. This is the first time we have had any downtime since December 2010.

Outage Details:
At 9:15am our engineers found we were experiencing an issue with a storage controller within our storage subsystem. This created issues with our hosted websites and emails and for the next few hours our clients sites were off-line completely or responding very slowly to server requests.
As a result of the issue we were forced to restart the servers on the affected LUN. As the servers booted they required a full file system integrity check to be performed. Once these checks were complete the servers were successfully restarted and all services were back online.
We are currently interrogating the logs from the affected disk controller to determine the root cause of the issue. This is the first time we have had any downtime since December 2010.
