While the holiday isn't as popular in Australia as it is in the United States or Britain, Halloween is gaining popularity over here. Spooky displays are out at most major retailers, and a lot of television stations are showing some kind of Halloween special. 

Aussies do love any excuse to celebrate, so it's a bit surprising that it's taken this long for Halloween to gain some momentum. We've never been a nation to turn down a party, and what better type of party is there than one that involves costumes and unhealthy food? More people seem to be cottoning on to this fact, and Halloween is definitely becoming more popular, so it might be a good idea to make sure you have a bag of lollies on hand to give out to any trick or treaters on Saturday night.
